Ahhh…fall is nearly upon us. The fresh smell of professional FOOTBALL in the air…leaves changing colors…temperatures falling…College Football…shorter days…labor day holiday….Night Hawks Football. I am extremely relieved…I mean excited, to announce that plans are under way for our annual Fall Fundraiser. This year's event will be co-chaired by Michelle Zych, Marilyn Marriott (Jim's wife), and Karen Stevens (my wife). As the saying goes…if you want to get something done, call a woman. Well…we have 3 so we are in great shape. Thanks ladies. In the spirit of gratitude, I would also like to express appreciation to those of you who signed up to host an afterhour's event. We still need a few more folks to host in 2011 (we will not have an afterhours event in December), so if you feel so inclined, please let Leigh know. Finally, we are in the process of reviewing an array of community projects, including trail clean up, volunteering to assist with project Rebuilding Together Omaha, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and collecting non-perishable food and cash around Super Bowl time (again…Football). If any of you have strong feelings about these, or any other worthy cause, please let me know, and we'll see what we can do about putting the weight of OMR to work in our community. Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.
