HISTORY: For years we have been bringing joy with filled shoebox presents for children in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. These are children in such poor socio-economic circumstances that the shoebox is probably the only gift they will receive during the holidays. They live in makeshift houses on the hillsides around Nogales. Rotarians visit these houses and hand out shoebox tickets to the children so they can redeem the ticket on "Three Kings Day." Foodstuffs are also provided for the household.

Pantano Rotary completed their Seri Indian project with a "Celebration of Water" in the Seri village in Punta Chueca, Mexico. The project was made possible from donations from our own Pantano Club, the Oro Valley Club, Pima Club, Carson City, Nevada Club, the Nogales Club in Mexico, and the Pitic Club in Hermosillo. Funds were added from District 5500 and all this was matched by the Rotary International Foundation!
