Julie Lovely discussed her efforts to establish a therapeutic equestrian program. Julie spoke about her goals to "offer therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, equine facilitated psychotherapy and a "Horses for Heros program, year round to children, adults and military veterans with physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral and/or social challenges."

Kevin Curry presented a slide presentation on his efforts to provide clean water in Cambodia. Kevin is our District's
University teacher for this coming year. He was nominated and
endorsed by our club. Kevin has worked on the Cambodia Clean Water Project sponsored by the Middletown Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Kevin will be traveling to Cambodia to work on educating Cambodians on how to use and operate a clean water filter. Dr. Curry thanked our club for its continued
support for his projects. He will be teaching at the University of Phnon Penh and working in the Siem Reap region of Cambodia
encouraging the use of the bio-sand filters.

Carolyn S. Ball is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Programs within the Department of Public Administration. She has taught at the University of Maine since 1991. Recently Carolyn travelled to Dubai located in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is the hub of the Arab world and one of its safest cities. She went to Dubai to study how health care is provided in a Muslim world versus a Christian nation such as the United States.
