Beth Roll Smith introduced the speaker, Dr. Patricia Oakley, Superintendent of Schools for the Town of West Bridgewater. Dr. Oakley gave a fascinating talk primarily about "the state of local education." She explained that the Town of West Bridgewater has been working to raise the expectations for all kids. Red and Terry reported that PDG Jim will be leaving the Life Care Center today to return home. We all wish Jim & Norene the best as Jim continues to recover. Beth reported that she saw Barbara & her daughter, Carolyn Ball, taking a swim at the Family "Y" in East
Bridgewater this week. Barbara was doing well with Carolyn's assistance. We hope that all are well or improving and will be up and about soon.

The Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters conducted its tenth annual Citizen of the Award ceremony at the Moakley Center on the campus of Bridgewater State College on Monday evening, December 1st.
