The Howell Rotary Club will meet on Monday, January 30^th, 2012 for lunch at 12:00 in the Community Room at St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital on Byron Road in Howell.

At the last meeting, held January 23rd, the Club celebrated another successful Tour de Livingston.  Immediate Past President and Tour Planning Committee Chair Jean Clum presented certificates of recognition to our Tour sponsors; George Moses showed the video he took during his own Tour ride last October; and, best of all, the Club presented a check worth $31,000 to Livingston County United Way.  Great Program!  Great Event!  Great Sponsors!  Great Results!

This week’s program will be hosted by Jeff Blagg.  Jeff has invited a convenience food executive to speak to the Club.  I understand that the speaker is also a comedian.  This should be entertaining and informative.

Have you registered with the state as an organ donor?  We will be doing a count this week (January 30) to see what percentage is registered.  Just in case you forgot you can go on-line at giftoflifemichigan.org and self-register. 

Our next fund-raising event is the Walk for Warmth scheduled for February 25^th.  Doris Stromer will lead our individual efforts to solicit sponsors for our walk.  You will hear more from Doris in the next couple weeks.
