Since 1965, the Brattleboro Rotary Club has sold Christmas trees as a fundraiser for local community service projects and student scholarships, and this year is no different!

The Brattleboro Rotary Club recently inducted local businessman Jeffrey J. Morse as its 60th club president for the 2009-2010 club year. Morse is the president and chief executive officer of River Valley Credit Union, which has offices in Brattleboro, Townshend, Putney, Bellows Falls, and Springfield.

The Brattleboro Rotary Club held its 34th Annual Charity Golf Tournament last month at the Brattleboro Country Club. The event continues its annual tradition in memory of Tournament Founder Hank Olson. In addition to scholarships for local graduating high school seniors, this year's proceeds benefited the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC), which received a check for $10,000.
