Steve Wagner, JD, CPA discussed "New Federal and Existing State tax credits" available this year. Amazingly, the Federal credits for new home buyers will still be available this year. This could assist many and could have a positive effect on the sluggish home market. This presentation was very factual, and very informative for those of us who struggle with tax issues each year. What is completely apparent to most, --- if you don't know the tax issues in the year you are filing,it is best to solicit a professional CPA to assist you!

The Clubrunner Web Site was the focus of the meeting last week. A "live" Internet presentation summarized the features and functions available to Saguaro Rotary members. Very informative, yet very informal; the group appeared to be inspired and enthusiastic about editing their own profiles and content on the Saguaro Website. Jim Lovelace did an excellent job of delivering a presentation to all the members and guests attending the meeting. If you were unable to make the meeting last Tuesday, and would like to know more about using and updating the Clubrunner, be sure to contact either Jim or myself to review it with you.

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help to build goodwill and peace in the world. Paul P. Harris formed the world's first service club, the Rotary Club of Chicago, Illinois, on February 23rd, 1905. The name Rotary is derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among members' offices. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 Rotary clubs located in over 200 countries. Saguaro Rotary joins the 51 other clubs in Southern Arizona ( District 5500 ) in supporting our community and the causes of Rotary International .
