Club President 2009-2010 Joan Robison welcomes you to the Rotary Club of Albert Park Website. It is here that you will find the people and projects that come together to make a difference in our own community and the world community.
Rotary's long time motto of "Service above Self" sets the standard by which we Rotarians reach out to help the less fortunate of the world - those who live in sickness, hunger and illiteracy.

A wheel has been the symbol of Rotary since our earliest days.

The first design was made by Chicago Rotarian Montague Bear, an engraver who drew a simple wagon wheel, with a few lines to show dust and motion.

The wheels was said to illustrate "Civilization and Movement".

Most of the early clubs had some form of wagon wheel on their publications and letterheads. Finally, in 1922, it was decided that all Rotary clubs should adopt a single design as the exclusive emblem of Rotarians

Adopted by Rotary in 1943, The Four-Way Test has been translated into more than a hundred languages and published in thousands of ways.  It asks the following four questions:
"Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

The Mission

The mission of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
