Posted by Keith Upkes on Jul 7 2009

Our club is comprised of more than 180 active professionals who join Rotary "To Serve" and are committed to the Rotary motto of "Service above Self." We host the annual Vancouver Festival of Trees, which is the primary fundraiser for our local Vancouver Rotary Foundation. Funds are distributed to serve humanity in our local community, nationally and worldwide.

Rotary International is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto "Service above Self," Rotary's main objective is service above self," in the community, in the country, and throughout the world.

If you are interested in learning more about Rotary and our club, please contact our Membership Service Director, Courtney Barker, by selecting her name from the right hand column of our Home page.

Yours in Rotary Service! Keith Upkes 2009-2010 President Rotary Club of Vancouver
