An update on the 2009 Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship; our 59th, from your fiddle committee.
We are pleased to present the return of April Verch to Shelburne for our Thursday night show.
Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Champion and Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion April Verch and her band to the stage in Shelburne. The show will feature Ottawa Valley stepdancing, vocal selections, and numerous styles of fiddling, including Old Time Canadian, Ottawa Valley, Bluegrass, and Old Time American. If you had the pleasure of hearing April during one of her previous appearances in Shelburne, you know that her stepdancing and singing alone are worth the price of admission! April will also be staying on through the contest as a judge. Also returning as a judge is Webb Acheson; our third judge has not yet been chosen.
