Howell Rotary will take a look at the movies for our meeting January 26th.

Today, John Suave will present a behind the scenes look at Austin's Movie.

Next Week, Feb. 2nd, LeAnn Prescott will provide those interested in a healthy lifestyle with "Yoga: Healthy Workout, Inside and Out."

President Kim will host a Board Meeting, Jan. 26th 11 am, just prior to regular meeting.

Howell Rotarians are reminded about two opportunities to put "Service Above Self":

Valentine's Day Feb. 14 also will be the County's annual Walk for Warmth. Howell Rotarian Patty Griffith has agree to organize a team of walkers.

Our resident master of the bowling lanes Dan Murdock needs a few (or many) good (or bad) bowlers as the Livingston County Rotary Clubs will bowl to raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

This morning at the International Assembly, Bill Gates Jr. addressed the Governors 2009-2010.

In a stirring speech he announced the additional gift to the Polio Plus program of $US 255,000,000.

Rotary has been asked to match $100 Million of this amount.

Rotary to date has already reached and matched  72 Million of the first $100 Million that was given previously.

This is a historic day for Rotary,  our Foundation and our  Partners.

The UK Government also announced a donation of 100 Million pounds and Germany announced a donation of 100 Million Euros.

All of this announced to the Rotary world today.
For all that you are doing to eradicate Polio we thank you.

USA HOST PLANS FOR AUSTRALIA GSE GUESTS TO D6380

Jim Gilmore has a deadline of next week to get prelim approvals and info to Manish.
He need some Committee commitments, Presidents and Rotary Leaders!

I am glad to head up the effort, but need committees.

We will have these Committees:
Host Family Committee â?" Recruit, train and coordinate hosting.

Program Committee â?" Develop the vocational and social program for the visit. (Already have a social event for Friday Nightâ?¦the polio plus concert in Brighton with 3 Men and a Tenor)

Transportation Committee â?" Greet the guests at the airport, provide transportation during the times when group transport is necessary, transport to AA on Sunday.
