A Paul Harris Fellowship was presented posthumously to Mrs. Betsy Fisk wife of Milford Rotarian Dick Fisk. Betsy, a Milford native, was a “PK” – a preacher’s kid. As the daughter of Congregational minister J. Wayne Haskell, she spent a lot of time across the street from our meeting place. In addition to being a devoted mother and active community member, Betsy was a well respected member of the nursing profession. Among other positions, Betsy served as the Milford High School nurse and as a professor of nursing at Fitchburg State University.  As past president Bill Andrews mentioned in making the presentation, Dick and Betsy got Bill and Sharon interested in Rotary, and Dick sponsored Bill for membership back in 1970. Betsy was one of our club's very supportive "Rotary Anns". Dick, a second generation club member, has been a Rotarian since 1964 and served as our president in 1971-72.Thank you Dick for your donation to Rotary in honor of Betsy!
