| Update from Morgan... |

Hey all! Here is a little report...I will send pictures later in a separate email. I currently can't upload pictures. I have no laptop, and had borrowed the laptop from my first family, but since I have changed, now I only have my kindle. My host parents have computers but they are just for work. I am currently on a school computer, so I can't upload pictures now either. I will try to send a separate email with photos from my friend's laptop.
I hope everyone has had a good first month in 2011! All the best! (:

Public Speaking: I go to school every day, socialize with friends, go to family gatherings. I have been to a few Rotary dinners, where I had to introduce myself to my club in German. I speak German every day.
Rotary Meetings or Functions you have attended: I have been to a few Rotary dinners. This month I attended one in Holland with our sister club in the Netherlands.
Social Events: I often go to my friend Frederika's home to cook. I go to parties, and whatever social gatherings there are.
Sporting Activities: I jog every morning, and in the Spring I want to start soccer.
Trips Taken (Give highlights and locations): This month I have been to Holland twice…once for a Rotary meeting, and once for a family gathering. My host dad's brother was celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary.
Describe your Host Family: I just changed host families this month. I am now living with the family Mulder. My parents are Kathrin and Rob. Kathrin is a teacher in my school, and soon to take the position of principal in another school. Rob works at a youth center. He was born and raised in the Netherlands. They have four children. Niels (27) is married to a woman named Evon, with two young children (Alea and Tom) whom I babysit for often. Annette (24) is currently in University in Frankfurt. I haven't met her yet. Till (20) still lives at home, and is in his last year at Gymnasium. He went to Thailand on exchange two years ago. Then Florian (16) is currently on exchange in Argentina. I really like this host family so far. They are really open and liberal. (:
Describe your Household Routines: I keep my room clean, unload the dishwasher, clean up the table after breakfast. Everyone just kind of contributes together to keep things up and running.
Describe your School: With my new family, I still bike to school, or get a ride from my parents. I really love going to school. I feel like a part of the class. I know everyone, everyone knows me, and they all speak to me just as they would their normal classmates. I have really, really, really have great friends. My best friend is probably Frederika, who went on exchange to Spain for the last four months, but I have a lot of friends.
Describe your Host Rotary Club: My Rotary Club is really friendly now. I have been to a few dinners and gotten to know some of the members, and they are interested in the US, and Michigan, and how I am getting along here. It is good.
Have you experienced any health concerns this month? I was struck with a cold that was going around, but nothing too concerning.
How often are you connected to Family and Friends back home? I have given up skype completely for the last five months of my exchange. I communicate through emails, but that's it.
Are you receiving your monthly Rotary allowance? Yes.
Have you experienced any difficulties with your host family, Host club, counselor, school or friends? Easy like Sunday morning.
TWO STARS and a WISH, in this section please indicate two things that are really going well for you and your exchange, and what one wish would you like to be granted over the next month: My German. My friends. I wish that this month will be just as good as the last.
