ClubRunner presents at Rotary International Zone 22 Institute
RI Zone 22 Institute Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada September 11 - 14, 2003
ClubRunner was recently invited by Rotary International Director John Eberhard to speak about
the role of technology and how it can be used to benefit Rotary. The presentation, entitled
“ClubRunner and How it can Help you with Rotary Business,” included a live demo of the ClubRunner
application.
Rotarian Adel Asterbadi explored the current difficulties Rotary clubs are facing with web presence,
and shared the ClubRunner vision with respect to empowering clubs and districts to do more with less time.
He encouraged Rotarians to harness the power of the Internet to promote Rotary's public image, improve
membership retention, and manage effective fundraising events.
Adel explained how ClubRunner removed the need for the design and technical skills necessary to create
and maintain effective web presence. The software tools allow members to publish web sites
and issue electronic bulletins with virtually no learning curve. This allows Rotarians to focus on
the content rather than the technology.
The talk generated a positive response from many of the Zone 22 District Governors, some of which attended a
workshop for a hands-on demonstration of live sites.
