Lori Lalama :  Rotary president, John Kenny's theme for the year is "The future of rotary is in your hands."  As our club lives out this theme this year we will concentrate of the basics:  community, service, and hands on giving.  We will continue to be mindful of our International commitments, as we take care of ourselves and our children or there will be no future.

Program host Mike McManus introduced Mark Robinson, Executive Director, and Pamela Bolam, "Be Our Guest" Adult Day Service Program Supervisor,of Livingston County Catholic Social Services.  Mark spoke abou how Catholic Social Services is working to assist families dealing with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease.

Program host George Moses introduced Chef James Casper of CrystalGardens.  Most of the Club is aware of Chef James partnership and committed involvement with the Rotary Thanksgiving turkey dinner deliveries.

Program host Jason Huntley introduced speaker Major Ravindra (Ravi) Wagh of the Michigan Army National Guard.  Major Wagh spoke about commanding theEcho Company, 1^st Battalion, 125^th Infantry and their experiences both before and after the Surge. 

Some people call Rotary a club, a organization, a bunch of old men having lunch while writing a check to a good cause every so often to make themselves feel good.  Wrong, Rotary is a way of life, a way to look at the world, a way to realize no matter how bad things get in your own life, there are people who have got it worse, and you have the power to help.
