Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Adopt-a-Beach Event, Thursday, June 7th 2012 from 7:30 am â?" 1:30 pm at Dockweiler State Beach. This is a great opportunity for a large group too! Volunteers are needed to meet and greet the over 5,000 school students when they arrive on buses. Cheer the kids on as they clean the beach and guide them into the Aerial Art. Volunteers will mentor the children as they are being taught about the importance of preserving our oceans and resources.
The Aerial Art theme this year is a giant shield with the words: DEFEND THE SEA. We are asking the KIDS to give us a drawing with an animal inside the shield.
