Making a Gift to the Rotary Foundation is an Act Worth Repeating

Contributions allow Rotarians to serve their local communities and beyond when they build wells, teach children to read, support mothers, fight polio and much more every day.  It is for these reasons that Rotarians sign up for Rotary’s recurring giving option, Rotary Direct.  They enjoy the ability to sign-up once and feel good knowing that their contribution will automatically be charged on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.  Click on information attached to review.  We currently have 43 Rotarians in our District participating - can we get to 75 before 30 June?

Rick Quero of Peru, N.Y., was the lucky winner of the limited edition 110th Anniversary Harley Davidson Super Glide Motorcycle, raffled by the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh.

Vicki Marking, president of the Rotary Club of Plattsburgh, thanked Casey Spiegel, president of Lake City Choppers, for making the motorcycle available to the Rotary Club for the raffle.  "I want to thank Lake City Choppers for providing this motorcycle to the Rotary club. Casey and Lake City Choppers have always been very supportive of this community."

The Rotary Club of Plattsburgh will named two new Paul Harris Fellows and honor a current Paul Harris Fellow with a five-sapphire pin during its Paul Harris Dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the American Legion, Post 20, Plattsburgh.

Paul Harris (April 19, 1868–January 27, 1947) was a Chicago, Illinois, attorney best known for founding Rotary International in 1905, a service organization that currently has well over one million members worldwide. Many Rotary clubs honor individuals as Paul Harris Fellows who meet high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris and others who have contributed more than $1000 to the Annual Program Fund, the Polio Plus Fund or the Humanitarian Grants Program of the Rotary Foundation.
