The 2012 Rotary of Milford Community Service project is one of the Four Avenues of Service all Rotary clubs undertake to improve life in our local communities. The Rotary is looking for a successful community service project that will serve the communities within the Huron Valley School District boundaries. Those communities include Milford, Highland, White Lake and parts of Commerce Township.

The 6 finalist for the Rotary of Milford Community Service project are:

T-Ball field at Carls Family YMCA
Permanent bandstand and bathrooms at Central Park
Soccer/Lacrosse fields at Carls Family YMCA
Milford Fire Department Tablet Computers
Meals on Wheels Vans
Kayak/Canoe Launch at Milford Central Park

Milford Rotary is building Awareness for the End Polio NOW campaign from Rotary International.

We are of a generation now that we don’t remember or family or neighbors that suffered from Polio.

In an effort to educate and give back, Milford Rotary will be working with the “Purple Pinkie” Campaign. Donate to help eradicate those last straggling cases. With the generosity of the Bill Gates Foundation and Rotary International we are “this far” (insert hand showing how far) and we want to make a difference. For more information on how you can get involved or sponsor a purple pinkie campaign, contact Milford Rotary at PO Box 308, Milford,MI  48381 or e mail bear@thvso.com
