At the recent Installation & Awards Ceremony, held June 28th, 2011 at the Villagio Suite, Wynham Hotel, New Kingston,
President Ertis Blake gave a report on the accomplishments of the club for the year 2010-11.
 

 

As part of the ThinkCaribbean Twinning Initiative, the Rotary Clubs of Spanish Town, Jamaica and Reston, Virginia, USA  have established a Club Twinning Relationship.

Here Rotary Club of Reston, President Paul Graves and Spanish Town Club President Mike exchange club banners at a recent visit to Reston Virginia by Mike.

The visit has enabled more detailed discussion and planning of methods to cement the relationship in both the short term and long term.
 

Members of the Rotary Clubs of Reston's & Spanish Town executive sit down to discuss concrete plans to develop the twinning relationship between their Rotary Clubs.  This twinning relationship was  instituted as part of the Think Caribbean Initiative.

President Dane looks on contentedly, as the boys from the Sunbeam Boy's home celebrate the donation of musical instruments to the home from the Rotary Club of Spanish Town. The project was spearheaded by Director of Community Service Anmarie Johnson.
 

 

Ever since its inception in 1981, the Rotary Club of Spanish Town has been engaged in numerous humanitarian, social and community service projects.

Spanish Town Rotarians engaged in the 'true spirit' of Christmas, with fellowship, gifts and meals on Tuesday, Dec. 13th.

Led by Director of Community Services Annmarie Johnson, Rotarians fanned out to treat four different homes for children and the aged.  These being: Spanish Town Infirmary, St. Monica's Home for the Aged, Strathmore Childrens Home and Sunbeam Boys Home.
