 Inching Towards the End of Polio

- Winner of the Princess Trophy 

Thanksto so many Rotarian's and community volunteers from the Anthem Community areathat helped us raise our goal of $25,000 for the Anthem Salvation Army Unit forthis up coming year.

This was one of the more creative teams. Holly BeattyMatson (Santa Claus) and her friend Sue as the Christmas tree.Also, we had George (picture attached) that has volunteered every year sinceour inception in 2006 and is a proud 10 or more time volunteer this year.  But,we want to especially thank all the Rotarian Volunteers for helping theirneighbor's in need this up coming year. We will update everyone on the specificamount as soon as we get the report.

On Friday, November 18, 2011 Dave Newham officially started his term as President of the Anthem Rotary club.  He is starting this role early, after our prior President, Ken Eslick stepped down from the role for work related reasons.  In the above picture are past President Ray Norris,  President Elect Jo-Ann Greenstein, and current President Dave Newham.

The 2011 Rotary Roundup went off without a hitch on Saturday, October 15.    

The food was fine, the band was great, the auction was wonderful and the community support was excellent.

This is down more than 50% from 2011 for the first 3 months of the year.
We are this close to eradicating Polio worldwide.
