Lake Havasu Rotary Club Partnership Charity Event Seeks Golfers and Dinner Attendees

Lake Havasu City – Friday September 16, 2011: Lake Havasu City Rotary Club, a local chapter of Rotary International is

one of 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas, is pleased to announce its upcoming golf and

dinner charity event scheduled for November 12, 2011. Proceeds benefit local and area children organizations, and

programs as well as community projects that would go unfunded if not for the generosity of those who support their efforts.

This year’s event takes place at the Refuge Golf & Country Club. The course is well known for its excellent conditions, fast

greens, lush desert landscaping, rolling terrain, and scenic lake back drop. The 18-hole championship golf course provides

excitement for golfers of all skill levels. The Refuge is open to the public, with private memberships available, has banquet

facilities, and features a restaurant, spa, workout room, and infinity edge pool overlooking the course and Lake Havasu.

The Club offers a fully stocked Golf Shop.

The club says the charity event is two parts venue and open to the public. It is comprised of day time golf activities and the

evening dinner party. Event participants are not required to play golf and can just attend the evening festivities. The

tournament is geared towards everyone and not a showdown for expert golfers. Registration is $130 per player, after

October 15th it is $145. Green fees cover golf fee, cart, prizes, Feast on the Fairway, and dinner party that evening. The

tournament will commence with a 12pm shotgun start, with same day registration beginning at 10am. Golf participants may

contact Mike Dunavant at (928) 486-66015 with any questions. Non golfers and golfers alike will enjoy a evening filled

with entertainment and fun. The evening starts with cocktails poolside at 5 pm at the Refuge's newly completed infinity

edge pool overlooking the course and the lake. A Caribbean style dinner takes place at 6 PM and the festivities begin after

that. For further information or to download a printable PDF golf registration and sponsorship form, please visit

We all have a story. Actually, we all have many stories; some are happy and some are not, some are of struggle and hardship, and some are inspirational stories of triumph.
