The winner of the Athens Rotary Foundation Scholarship Split-the-Pot contest on May 21, 2012 was Susan Urano. Susan collected the weekly split of $27 and received a warm ovation from the club when she cut the Ace of Diamonds from the remaining deck of cards instead of the Joker. The contest will continue next week with the accumulated pot starting at $975 and only 20 cards in the deck. | | Posted by Sheila Mark

On January 12, 2012, we celebrated 1 full year since the last case of polio in India was reported. This is indeed a remarkable achievement about which Rotarians should be proud and all humanity should rejoice.
