Expectations of a Weekend Host Family May 18-20 
What is involved in hosting one (or two) exchange student(s) for the May 18-20 District Exchange Student Weekend on Amelia Island? The club handles all the actual timeline and details, but in a nutshell host families will pick up their guest(s) for each of two evenings and drop them off again the next morning. That’s it! |

Harlem AmbassadorsReturn to Fernandina Beach They’recoming back! For the second year in arow, the Fernandina Beach Rotary Club will bring back the wildly entertainingHarlem Ambassadors basketball team for an exhibition game with the hometownteam, the Nassau Nets. The game, afundraiser for the Rotary Club’s college scholarship and charitable programs,is scheduled for Friday February 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fernandina Beach HighSchool gymnasium. The FBHS Interact Club will be offering concessions, including Domino's Pizza before and throughout the game and the proceeds will go towards their local and international projects.

"This Close" Bonnie Tippins came and shared a very personal story about how Polio had an effect on her life and how she not only wrote a memoir, but also is able to share her story with many in order to keep polio eradication at the forefront of peoples' minds.
