The club marked the 28th Anniversary of its charter with an evening at Cherry Hills Country Club on April 6. President Ed Meyer presented various awards and recognitions and later fired up his band to entertain with classic rock. See more pictures on the club Facebook page. Bob Forbes, Past President of the Parker Rotary Club, transferred to Denver SE. Bob is with Forbes Mergers and Acquisitions, advisor for buying, selling or positioning companies. William (Bill) Magnusson is an Associate at Berkshire Advisor Resource, a financial services firm. Bill got a bachelor's degree at South Dakota State and an MBA at Columbia. He went to Germany in 1979-80 on a Rotary Graduate Fellowship. He collects swing era 78 rpm records. Do you have a succinct explanation of Rotary when someone asks you- what some would call an "elevator speech"? Here is a possible response, authored by Jim Creamer: Rotary is an international organization dedicated to the service of mankind. Denver Southeast Rotary Club is an active organization of men and women providing domestic and international assistance to others far and wide. And we have fun doing it with fellowship for our members and with a sense of ethics as outlined in the Four Way Test.  |
