| Posted by Karen Miller on Mar 04, 2013 Sign up now to reserve your spot at the 2013 District Conference. This is your opportunity to learn about Rotary on a district level and see what is happening in 60+ clubs in the district. The conference is titled Peace in Action, in concert with Rotary International's theme of Peace through Service. You won't want to miss Friday night's fun party with the theme Peace, Love and Rotary! Through the conference weekend we'll talk about how we can strive for peace as individual Rotarians and as Rotary clubs. We'll meet the students of the Youth Exchange program, both inbound students AND outbound students. What can THEY do to bring a little bit of peace in our world? A Peace Fellow will speak with us, and someone from a Peace Institute will give us his thoughts on peace. Saturday night is the traditional Top Hat Dinner and Sunday morning we will honor those Rotarians that we lost over the past year. Go online and print out your registration form now. You won't regret it! 2013 DISTRICT CONFERENCE May 17-19, 2013 at Honor's Haven Resourt @& Spa, Ellenville, N.Y. Register early as our block of rooms is only reserved until April 17th. | | Posted by Vincent Cazzetta on Mar 04, 2013 Vinnie Cazzetta reported that the walking tour project continues to move forward. We are still working on getting sponsors for the signs. Please contact Vinnie if you would like to sponsor or assist with this piece of the roject. We will soon begin recording the historical information for each site. Middletown Rotary is participating in the 125th birthday celebration of the City of Middletown by developing a walking tour of notable buildings and businesses that are part of the history of our city. In partnership with Frontier Communications, tourists and local residents will be able to walk this route and listen to audio recordings of a short synopsis of the buildings and landmarks before them.
