A volunteer is needed to help with Flag Base installation, the week of May 14-May 18th to help Ryan during lunch time, each day. Call Ryan Cuffle at 330-501-9528 if able to help. We will be installing flags the week of the 20th. Our main day of volunteers will be Sunday, May 20th.

Sign up for meeting at MCCTC next week. Park behind the building by 11:45 We need volunteers for working the bet truck at the Mahoning Valley Rib Burn Off On May 18th. Jerry announced that Wes Midgely is still at Humility House, room 36B. May 21st will be our Rotary Blood Drive. Sign up sheets to follow soon. Jim still needs money for 10 who have not paid for the district rotary meeting in the park three weeks ago. Thirteen still owe for Pancakes. Thank You note from Carl, the Eagle Scout that we helped with his project. Bill Hendricks announced that the Canfield Rotary will have a clothing drive 12-4 on May 5th at the Canfield Middle School. June 30 will be our Annual President's Party at the Youngstown Country Club. May 22nd Golf outing. $50 for golf and dinner. $20 for dinner only. Kensington Golf Course. If you lease a flag from the Boardman Rotary Club, you will get to display an American Flag on six major holidays:
Memorial Day
Flag Day
Independence Day
Labor Day Patriot Day (9/11)
Veterans Day
...and we'll do all the work for you! When you lease a flag, we will insert a PVC plastic sleeve, along with a cap, in the ground in your front yard. No brackets or fixtures are attached to your home.
On each of the six holidays listed, a 3' x 5' American Flag. mounted on a 10-foot metal pole is placed in the sleeve. We purchase the flags, display, store and maintain them. It is all done for you!
The flags remain the property of the Boardman Rotary Club.

The Boardman Rotary Club’s 30th Annual Pancake Breakfast will again take place over two weekends March 24-25 and March 31-April 1, during Boardman Park’s Maple Syrup Festival. The traditional selection of pancakes and sausages will be served by Boardman Rotary and Interact Club members in the park’s Lariccia Family Community Center. Tickets are $6.00 and available for purchase from any Boardman Rotary club member, or at the door. |
