The World Choir Games organization is looking for volunteers!  Please consider how they can leverage your talents as volunteers for the 2012 World Choir Games.  The Sponsorship team can “play to your strengths” because it requires a high level of interaction with sponsors and other VIPs.  If you are able, serving the duration of the WCGs at one of the venues would clearly be ideal.  

Registration Process (Must be completed by 5/25/12)
All volunteers must register through the website and the WCGs is required to do FBI background checks on all volunteers due to the number of under-aged participants. Go to the World Choir Games website at www.2012worldchoirgames.com. Click on the “Interested in Volunteering” button on the right side of the homepage. This will take you to the First Financial Volunteer Registration Form.

Please sign up for the SPONSORSHIP SERVICES role when given the option of indicating specific expertise, languages, etc.

Please indicate in the group code that you are a member of ROTARY (to enable us to slot you in one of the key roles). 

Potential volunteers should understand there is a minimum number of hours required. Most roles require a commitment of 12 hours (in three 4-hour shifts).  Once you have successfully registered, you will contacted by a member of a phone bank to conduct some preliminary screening and to confirm the role for which you wish to volunteer.  Four training sessions will be conducted: 6/19 or 20 (Sharonville Convention Center, in the evening); or 6/23 (No Ky Convention Center, in the morning or afternoon).  Only registered volunteers will be contacted for training.

ROTARY TO HIT THE
ROAD IN 2012
Rotarians are hitting the road this year for dates when the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza venue is unavailable. There will be a Vocational Fellowship Day where we visit fellow Rotarians' businesses, Cincinnati Reds versus Cleveland Indians Baseball Game at Great American Ballpark, Playhouse in the Park (where we'll be meeting their new Artistic Director, Blake Robison, during his first week on the job), a Meeting at Maketewah Country Club to hear a World Choir Games Friendship Choir (with an option to play golf),The American Sign Museum, and the brand new Christian Moerlein Lager House. Because we will be using special caterers for these meetings, Rotarians will need to RSVP for each of these Roadshows a week in advance. Click this link for all the dates: Rotary Roadshows 2012. Many long-time Rotarians have difficulty driving to meetings or activities so we're forming a group to assist in helping them get to our events. Where do I sign up you say??? Just contact the office (ksuszek@cincinnatirotary.org) with your work and home zip codes and we'll add you to the list of volunteers.The Rotary office will coordinate the carpool so members who need rides and volunteers get connected!
