| Posted by Richard Peach At our meeting last week our club was treated to a great program about the possibilities of getting a high-speed rail system built in Illinois. Nicolai Schousboe and Madeline Grennan provided us a great deal of data on how the system would work, where it may be feasible to operate, and the comparative costs to other transportation options.
| | Posted by Richard Peach on Apr 11, 2012 Dino Robinson was our guest speaker and told us about his passion for uncovering the rich history of African-Americans along Chicago's North Shore and share that with all of us. The passion has led to gathering pictures and memorabilia and finally to the creation of Storefront Legacy Center. | | Posted by Richard Peach on Apr 12, 2012 Our club received notification from District Governor Carlos Frum that we have been award the 2011-2012 Changemaker Award by Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjee. We will have the award presented to President Paul Fischl on April 21st at 2:00 PM in conjunction with the 'Innovations Presentations' at our District Conference in the Grand Ballroom of the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. This is a terrific honor for our club as only eight clubs and one Rotaract club in the District have been awarded this honor.

Dressed in Victorian era clothing, Goddard “became” Willard, offering colorful reminisces of her life in Evanston, where she attended school and lived during her national career.
