| Apr 12, 2012 Today, Ian Barrie was presented with a Paul Harris Award. This award was in recognition of his outstanding service to the club in his role as President for the 2010-11 year. Ian continues to be very active in the club serving on the Golf Committee, Spray Pad Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and active participation in the executive as Past President. Thank you Ian for your outstanding contributions to our club and to the community. | | Mar 31, 2012 On Friday March 30th we celebrated the outstanding contributions of Rotarians and community members by presenting them with the Paul Harris award. The recipients this year include John Rogers, Greg Gregoriou, Paul Courneya, Richard Koroscil, Jan Lukas, the late Stephen Foster, John Histed, Sue Boychuk, Marty Schure, and Diane Schure. Congratulations! We also inducted two new Honourary members - Mr. Gerry Fabbri, and Mrs. Lee Wood. It was an inspiration hearing about the outstanding contributions these people are making in our local and international communities. | | Feb 09, 2012 The Rotary Club of Ancaster A.M. voted today (February 9,2012) to donate $3000 to the DECA program at Anaster Highschool. This program gives highschool students valuable skills and experience related to business, accounting, and marketing within a competition based environment. Students at Ancaster High have competed at the national and international levels in the past and look to do the same this year. Best of Luck! | | Feb 12, 2012 The Ancaster Community Awards are held every April to recognize outstanding individuals in the categories -citizen of the year; business of the year and youth volunteer of the year. In the past, including last year, the Rotary Clubs of Ancaster jointly presented the Youth Volunteer with a Bursary of $500 for educational purposes. The executive approved the donation of $250 this year, to be matched by the Rotary Club of Ancaster. | | Dec 01, 2011 On Tuesday Nov 29, 2011 the Rotary Club of Ancaster (P.M. club) voted to support the Spray Pad Project. This is great news, as both Ancaster clubs can move forward with this exciting community project. More details as to how club members can help will be e-mailed soon. | | Nov 17, 2011 Our club voted for the Wheelchair Foundation of Canada as our International Project for the year 2011/12. The club approved up to $4000 for this project. Next steps will be provided shortly. Thank-you for your vote. | | Nov 11, 2011 Our club was recognized at the recent District Conference as 100% sustaining members and a 100% per capita club by the Rotary Foundation. We were also recognized for our $4000 donation to the Polio Campaign. A special thank-you goes to Kathryn Smith and Carolyn Seabrook-Ferguson for repesenting our club at the conference and accepting the awards. | | Nov 03, 2011 November 3 2011 - After an excellent presentation put together by the Spray Pad committee and presented by Paul Burroughs, our club voted and approved the Ancaster Spray Pad Project. The Rotary Club of Ancaster (P.M. club) will be presenting the project to their club for approval at the end of November. |
