On Saturday, August
18, 2012, the Rotary Club of Ventura-East will host a benefit concert featuring
Rey Fresco and the Ojai Youth Symphony at Libbey Bowl, and we are asking for
your support. In addition to a magical evening of music under the stars, we
will display local Ventura County artwork for auction. All proceeds will benefit
the Rotary Club of Ventura-East and Interface Children & Family Services.
The Rotary Club of
Ventura-East was chartered in 1963, and is one of nearly 34,000 Rotary Clubs
around the world. Our club members are dedicated to “Service Above Self” as we
financially support numerous local and international organizations, such as the
Ventura Family YMCA; Ventura Botanical Gardens; Ventura Boys & Girls
Club; Food Share; Project Understanding; as well as clean water, vocational and
humanitarian projects in Nicaragua and Honduras. Additionally we give thousands
of dollars in scholastic and vocational scholarships each year.
Interface Children
& Family Services has as its mission to strengthen children, families and
communities to be safe, healthy and thriving. Founded in 1973, Interface is one
of the largest and most effective non-profit organizations in Ventura County.
Serving over 26,000 clients annually, Interface provides services through
several different programs, including domestic violence counseling, emergency
shelter and transitional housing, mental health services, 2-1-1 information and
referral, services for youth in crisis, and technical assistance and training
for other agencies across the state.
We hope that you can support the Rotary
Club of Ventura-East and Interface Children & Family Services by sponsoring
