Lisha Green is the winner of the first of three drawings in our progressive Restaurant Fundraiser. The seller of the ticket was Aref Ahmadia. Lisha won a $100.00 gift certificate to the Spinnaker restaurant. The ticket will be put back in the pot for the next drawing for two restaurant certificates around St. Patrick's Day and then again for the final drawing in April. Harbor Rotary Welcomes Matthew Edwards. Matthew is a 38 year old resident of Fairfax, CA and is the CEO of CircleCenter which is also based in Fairfax, CA. When asked during the interview process what three words Matthew would use to describe himself, he responded with: adaptable, creative and open-hearted. In the short time the GSE team has had to begin to develop...Matthew has already shown these traits to be true! Each year during the holidays the San Rafael Harbor Rotary Foundation reviews applications submitted by Family Services Agency staff members on behalf of the families they serve. The families do not ask for the money, they are surprised with financial aid and holiday gifts which their case workers think they need. Family Services Agency thanked Harbor Rotary in their January newsletter. |

Those of you who were there this weekend know that Jim Carriere aptly nicknamed our volunteering weekend as "Survior, San Anselmo". It was an incredibly hot weekend of selling tickets, pouring beer and wine and in general helping to run the San Anselmo Art & Wine Fest in order to raise funds for our Foundation. On Saturday, July 21st a group of Harbor Rotarians gathered at Sea Trek in Sausalito for a fun day of kayaking in Richardson Bay. The photo here shows them attempting to kayak in the sand--after a few frustrating minutes, however they finally figured it out and hauled those suckers out to the water and away they went. |
