RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is a life-changing leadership training program for young men and women where leadership skills and principles are learned, developed and enhanced in an atmosphere of trust and respect. The Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club, in partnership with the Emmetsburg Rotary Club, the Rio Claro Cidad Azul Rotary Club in Brazil, and the Caracas Rotary Club in Venzuela will be providing a new utility van for a charity institution names "Nosso Lar" (Our Home) in Rio Claro, Brazil. The Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary Club's Service Committee, with full approval from the Board of Directors, has approved a $500 contribution to this project. | | Posted by Tom Barnes

Great attention to detail led to a perfect application submitted and accepted by the IRS. The Club's "Shoes For Kids" program through Marion and Cedar Rapids area schools has distributed over 2000 pairs of shoes to kids in need. |
