Rotarians today gathered at the Huntsman Cancer Institute to deliver the Blanket Warmer purchased with proceeds from the Tour de Donut powered by Fat Cyclist Eldon Nelson

Gary Robinson was introduced as new member of our club.  He transferred Rotarian from the Ogden Rotary Club.  His wife, Marie was also there to support her husband.

Seven golf teams from the Rotary club competed in the chamber AF Business Classic at Thanksgiving Point on Sept 2.  The proceeds from the tournament will go to help with dictionaries and other humanitarian projects.  The tournament also raised food and money for the Utah Food Bank.  464 lbs of canned goods were raised as well as $75 in cash were given to the food bank to provide food for their empty shelves.  The tournament was a partnership with the chamber and was a success.

On August 16, 2011 Rotarians gathered to stuff school supplies into the back packs and complete our district grant.  Approximately 150 backpacks were delivered to Greenwood Elementary and school supplies were taken to Tabitha's Way in Spanish Fork

It is like Deja Vu all over again - with a few minor changes.

In 2005, the Rotary Club of American Fork was instrumental in sponsoring the Rotary Club of Lehi, Utah.  The Rotary Club of Lehi services Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain and Cedar Fort.

As of July 2011, the American Fork Rotary club will be moving to the Northampton House Reception Center.  They are a lovely venue and will be providing us with a delicious lunch buffet weekly.  The address is 198 W 300 N American Fork.  They have wi-fi capability and are excited to host us weekly.  Feel free to bring friends and prospective Rotarians to our meetings.

Eight schools were involved in our annual backpack attack.  We collected approximately 150 used backpacks.  These packs will be filled with school supplies and given to low income children in the upcoming year.  Special thanks for Steve Oscarson for organizing the event.

The Bank of American Fork in Orem is having a holiday shoe drive, working with the non-profitorganization Soles4Souls—a shoe charity. Address:   1280 South 800 East (corner of University Pkwy& 800 east in Orem )

We invite all UtahCounty residents to drop off any pairs of used or old footwear they'dlike to donate for the shoe drive in the designated collection box in the lobbyanytime between now and Saturday, Dec. 10th.

A 140 juniors in High School gathered at Heber Valley Camp on September 9-11, 2010. This three conference featured great speakers like Chad Hymas, Larry Chatteron, and Amanda Dickson. Leadership skills and team building skills were stressed.

Saturday, July 17th,approximately 480 riders registered for the One on One Tour de Donut powered by Fatcyclist event. The event was held at North Pointe Business Park. Special this year was the memorial to Elizabeth "Bunny" Bradley who was killed the week of the race; with more than 40 family riders enjoying a special tribute opportunity for her and a special donation booth with over $1,400 raised for her charitable purposes including a $1,000 from One on One Market

Seventeen Rotarians and their families helped prepare, serve, and clean up breakfast for the Under the Bridge project Sunday morning in Salt Lake City. Braving freezing temperatures the AF Rotarians also distributed blankets and hygiene kits.

Parents and American Fork Rotary Club volunteers register children under 18 into the national Amber ID data base.  With each keystroke and with every photo flash is the underlying hope and prayer that none of this information will ever be needed.

On Thursday September 3, 2009 the American Fork Rotary Club hosted a "Meet the Candidates" night at Barratt Elementary School.  Council woman, Heidi Rodeback said that "it was one of the most successful meet the candidates events she has been to on a city level".  The crowd was estimated at about 110-125 people.  The oldest individual that could be found at the event was a 96 year old woman who expressed her appreciation for the event.

The 2009 Annual Golf Scramble will be held at the Fox Hollow golf course in American Fork on October 2, 2009 at 8:00 AM.  Pre-registration costs for a 4-person team is $350.  Teams Registering at the time of the event will be charged $400 per 4-person team.  Hole sponsorships are $125.  Any questions, please call Rob Shelton at 801-830-4386.
