Meeting Notes by Eva Corredor
President Paul designated February 27 as the "Official New Venue Launch Meeting" for the Rotary Club of New York which recently moved to the elegant 3 West Club on West 51st Street.
After a brief welcome of the day's speaker, Richard Marin, who had previously addressed the Club on "The Global Pension Crisis," the President called upon NY Rotarian Jan Brown to lead in the singing of the National Anthem and to offer the Invocation which Jan dedicated to a call for peace.

3D Technology & Policy
Anyone with an Internet connection, a computer, and a 3-D printer can now manufacture a gun. 3D printing is Star Trek fantasy conjured into reality, a world in which everything from shoes to hearing aids is produced in our homes for next to nothing. Imagine kids growing up with 3-D printers, hacking, experimenting, creating stuff we can’t even conceive of today. Jeff Saginor writes about technology and policy and lives in Washington, DC.

Group Service Event - Dec 30
Through a donation from Gift of Life, Italy to our New York Rotary Foundation, most kindly arranged by board member Fredlee Kaplan, RCNY sponsored a dinner service Mon, Dec 30, for the families at the Ronald McDonald House. Rick Martin steered the service event that allowed for families of the house to enjoy a nice dinner of various pastas, lasagna, salmon, vegetables, salads, and delightful deserts (tiramisu and fruit). President Paul and First Lady Gail led other Rotarians Fredlee Kaplan, Todd Horwath and his girlfriend Christy, Mayya Dovletova, Robert Pildes and several Rotaractors (see photos inside) in serving the meals.
