Here is the link to our Little Free Library Project map.   It is continually being updated with newly constructed and proposed Little Free Library locations.   This same link will always work to view the current progress of our libraries that are being installed around the city in REAL TIME!  It’s fantastic, because you can zoom IN and OUT to see the more specific locations (as opposed to having a high level fixed point map).

Rotary Club of Fort Wayne Joins with Faegre Baker Daniels

to Install Little Free Library™

Building Community, Fostering Fellowship, and Promoting Literacy

Fort Wayne, Indiana – On Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. noon the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne (also known as the Downtown Rotary) and Faegre Baker Daniels will unveil Little Free Library™ at the playground in Lions Park (located at Carew Street and Hazelwood Avenue) next to the to FaegreBD’s Adopt-a-Park sign.

Nearly two years ago, FaegreBD adopted Lions Park as a way to stay connected to and preserve vital aspects of the community in which many of the firm’s professionals live and work. Twice a year, the firm cleans the park and performs general upkeep. The Library was built by the office’s summer associates as their community service project—an important part of the firm-wide summer associate program. The Library was painted by Madison Aschliman, a local high school art student. The Rotary Club of Fort Wayne provided the official Little Free Library charter and a starter supply of books to stock the library.

Based on the concept of “Take a book, Return a book,” the free-standing Little Free Library structures provide a way to share books freely throughout the community to promote literacy, to foster fellowship, and to enhance the quality of life for all citizens. This installation marks the 26th Little Free Library sponsored by the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne, and is part of a year-long celebration to commemorate the Club’s 100th anniversary by installing 100 Little Free Libraries in the community.
