This award has been established to honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions within the current Rotary year supporting Opening Doors Through Service for others. The fundamental philosophy encouraged is lending a hand not a hand out. Nominees for this award Have played a significant hands on role such as developing or implementing a project or program that supports others by expanding their abilities, potential or horizon -- thus increasing the quality of life in individuals or the community . The nominee will have “opened a door” such aso Empowerment of others o Assisting others to reach their full potential o Expanding horizons and possibilities While doing so have embodied the values of the Four Way Test Eligibility There will be one award available for a club member and/or one for a community member Club member nominees must be Active or Honorary members in good standing of the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne Community award nominees must live or work in Allen County Members of the Executive Committee of the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne are ineligible Nomination process 1. Active and Honorary members in good standing of the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne may make nominations to the Executive Board by completing an application* and submitting it to the Club Secretary 2. Executive Board will review the applications and make the final decisions 3. Award(s) will be given at the direction of the executive committee in an appropriate venue *available on the DOCUMENTS page (left) or from the club secretary |
