Featured Speaker: Whitney Brigg, Development Officer, Dayton Foundation was introduced by Rotarian Connie Woods. Whitney joined the Dayton Foundation March 1, 2012. The Dayton Foundation manages The Vandalia-Butler Foundation. Brigg assists donors, financial and estate planning advisors, nonprofits and other groups with charitable gift planning. She has more than 15 years experience in the corporate and higher education environments. She previously was business operations manager for the athletic department of Lincoln University. Brigg has a bachelor's degree in communications rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's degree in mass communications from the University of Florida.

Rotarians Pete Breidenbach, Kevin Larger, Bud Weber and Rodney Washburn joined forces to bring our club's project of building the Rotary Bridge to fruition. Be sure to check out the progression by viewing the album on our website and thank these guys for their hard work.
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. Our sponsored Interact Club draws from the Butler High School student body. The "Counselor" is Kelly Mahoney who teaches at the high school. Richard Herbst, Vocational Service Director, provides guidance and support. Interactors develop a network of friendships and learn the importance of Developing leadership skills and personal integrity, Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others, Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work, Advancing international understanding and goodwill.
These photos represent two fundraisers students staged in August. A Car Wash/Bake Sale on August 10th and Face Painting at the Farmer's Market on August 15th. Proceeds from both projects went to the family of wheelchair bound Armando Barreno (Butler High School student) to purchase a wheelchair lift for their van. A total of $375 was raised.
