ImageWe all know, the drain on local food banks is exponential. Club officers had learned that the Food Pantry has an outstanding bill (for perishables) of $3000 at Kroger and the store found it necessary to discontinue credit to the pantry.  Rotarian Doug Arp initiated the  passing of the hat at last week's meeting and raised $497.  Rotarians Larry Brazie and Dave Wyse have since donated $1000 each and an anonymous donor has come forward with another $1500.   The $3000 Kroger will now be paid in full. The pantry needs enduring cash funding to provide services to those in need. President Rhonda plans to once again pass the hat at next meeting, to give all Rotarians an opportunity to participate.  She also plans to challenge the Optimist Club to meet Rotary's contribution.  Thanks for everyone's generosity!
