As I am sure you are aware, electronic equipment cannot be tossed in the trash or put in the landfill because it is not biodegradable.  If you toss your old VCR in the trash it will still be in the city landfill 100 years from now in the same condition.    To help with this problem, the Arlington South Rotary has partnered with EWD to properly recycle these items.

We will have a drop off day, Saturday March 31 at the YMCA in south Arlington.  For a donation of $5 per car, you drop off a car load of old electronic items. This includes anything that runs on electricity, batteries or gasoline.  It also includes all the cables.

Examples of items include computers, VCR’s, cell phones, or that old blender that never works anymore.

This is your chance to clean out the closet and get rid of the 8 track player taking up space.

Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed One of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.
