Judge Roger Stuart is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma County and was the first in his family to graduate from high school and go to college.   Judge Stuart and his wife Jan have been married for 34 years, and their three grown children and three grandchildren all live in Oklahoma County. His legal career has always been centered in Oklahoma County, and for twenty years it has been his honor to serve as a Judge in this community.

After graduating from Del City, Judge Roger Stuart attended the University of Oklahoma where he received both a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature and a Juris Doctorate.  In 1995, Judge Roger Stuart was appointed by the District Court Judges of Oklahoma County to the position of Special Judge and assigned to the Juvenile Division.

Judge Roger Stuart spent the next sixteen years in the capacity of Juvenile Court Judge and presided over thousands of cases involving abused and neglected children and kids charged with crimes. In 2011, Governor Brad Henry appointed District Court Judge Noma Gurich to the Oklahoma Supreme Court and Judge Stuart applied for her vacated seat.   He was one of three candidates recommended to Governor Mary Fallin by the Judicial Nominating Commission out of approximately 16 applicants. Judge Roger Stuart was honored to be Governor Fallin’s first judicial appointment to the District Courts on July 12, 2011.

As Rotarians we know that our freedom doesn't come without sacrifices from the men and women who serve and have served our country.   On Friday, November 7 we will have a Veteran Appreciation fundraiser.  The profit will be given to the Norman Veteran Center to start a music therapy program for our veterans.

Please take a minute to decide if you want to buy a ticket, table or sponsorship.  If you know of a company that might be interested in celebrating our veterans please call them and tell them about the event.

Lunch will be held at The Vast downtown and a special guest speaker Kayla Williams will be our speaker.  You won't want to miss it!!!!
