As a reminder, the Club will not meet at Legends Club on April 25, 2012, but will instead meet at Liberty Hall in the Factory at 7:00 am. The purpose of the meeting is to attend the State of the City address given by our very own Club Member, Mayor Ken Moore, Ph. D. The food at the event is being sponsored by our Club. There will be a few tables reserved for our Club Members so look for the signs.

There's something that all Rotary club members have in common: We take action. As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. We build, support, and organize. We save lives. We work locally and globally.

Around the world and around the corner, the 1.2 million men and women of Rotary

  • Get involved in their communities
  • Connect with other professionals
  • Share their time and experience with young people
  • Support global causes, such as eradicating polio
  • Use their skills to help others

Whether you're a veteran volunteer or new to community service, we're looking for people like you.

Reid (Chairman of the Environmental Committee) will be speaking about the environment. He is the Technical Sales Manager for Integrated Controls Corporation of Tennessee. He received a BA in Physics from Vanderbilt, is a LEED AP, and recently sat for the Certified Energy Manager exam through the Association of Energy Engineers. In 1979, Reid received a corporate award for developing a program that saved his employer over $1,000,000 through reduced energy consumption.

October 5-Joe Biddle

Biddle was a sportswriter at the Nashville Tennessean newspaper for 13 years.  He previously worked at rival newspaper The Nashville Banner for 18 years.  The paper went out of business in 1998.

"I've gotten to do some things that I would have never dreamed, a boy from Johnson City, Tennessee could ever do.  I've had over 20 Masters, over 20 Final Fours [and] over 20 Super Bowls," he said.

Joe and his wife currently reside in the Mt. Juliet area, but lived in Franklin for a number of years.
