Each year our club distributes 600 dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the Boyetown area. At the May 14th Club meeting Rotarian Marie Unger shared her experience as one of hundreds of Rotarians who volunteered in the massive ongoing effort to banish the crippling disease of Polio from the face of the earth. During this mission in India the announcement was made that Polio was no longer Endemic in India; a major milestone on the road to total eradication of the disease.

On June 9th the District 7430 Group Study Exchange Team will depart for a 3 week visit to Japan. Jen Pennypacker's application for the Team was endorsed by the Rotary Club of Boyertown. She will join three other non -Rotarians as well as Team Leader Bruce Dearnley, who is a member of the Blue Bell Rotary Club. Jen is a Regional Director with CareLink Community Services. CareLink provides rehabilitation services for individuals suffering from mental illness.
