The Changemaker Award

RI President-elect Kalyan Banerjee will introduce a new recognition, the Changemaker Award, to accompany the Presidential Citation during the 2011-12 Rotary year. Banerjee, who said he will encourage Rotarians to focus on change, explained that the Changemaker Award will recognize Rotary clubs that make an extraordinary impact through their work in the Avenues of Service. Festive Gift Baskets and Fruit Cake


In the true spirit of Christmas our club is selling festive gift baskets and Claxton's famous fruit cake. Baskets come in several varieties with various types of ham and/or kosher salami with a wonderful assortment of cheese, crackers, cookies and chocolate truffles. Any money raised goes to helping others. Please contact John Kane if you are interested.

As Rotarians we have the Four-Way Test in mind in every decision we make.  Our utmost responsibility is to speak the truth, to be fair, to build goodwill and better friendships, and to do our very best in all situations.



 

District Governor Ted Morrison visits the club and talks about the wonderful humanitarian work Rotary is doing - but more is needed. 

Rotary at work: Joe Dale and Mark Wafer (from Whitby club). Joe has worked in the disability field for over 30 years and has spent most of that time working on various issues related to helping people who have a disability. 

The Rotary Club of North York recently inducted 3 new members: Noel, Jim and Sameena

 

 

 Club members went to the Dominican Republic to help with the building of the Children's Hospital of Hope. The club also made a $5,000 donation to purchase much needed equipment
