The Rotary Club of Courtenay was pleased to be able to present to SD #71 Nala'atsi Alternative School 10 computers & monitors along with upgraded software. These computers will help the students alleviate the frustration of using the 8-10 years old computers which were very slow and inefficient. Be aware of a fraudulent email aimed at Rotarians claiming to be sent from the Rotary International Registration office. The email scam claims that the Rotary Foundation has agreed to sponsor 98 Rotarians to go to the 2012 RI Convention in Bangkok, Thailand. The email asks recipients to send their information to a Hotmail email account asscociated with an RI registration office. Please disregard and delete this fraudulent email.

Thank You For Your Donations!!The Courtenay Rotary Club extends a huge thank to our communitiy for all the donations of books, records, CD's, DVD's, video games, videos puzzles and games. The response from the public was just fantastic. We were able to raise almost $27,000. All proceeds go to cancer research, treatment and care on Vancouver Island and in the Comox Valley. Also, thanks to all the volunteers involved.

Janette Glover- Geidt has helped to make Union Baya community through her tireless efforts that the Rotary Club of Courtenayrecognizes and has made a contribution to the Rotary Foundation in her name,presented by Donald Gordon and Club President Robert Buckley.
