We are dark that day because so many of our members will be at the Rotary International Convention in New Orleans; -- Our guest speaker was Rotarian Todd Landry, from Eadie and Payne LLC, and he talked about tax laws and tax preparation; -- PRYDE needs donations of items for their service project: making supply-filled backpacks for disadvantaged children; -- The Character Education Conference Luncheon (formerly Duncan Webb) will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 11:45am, at the San Bernardino Hilton. Cost is $15 per person; -- Shab and Bricia are going to Thousand Smiles on May 6-7. They are using funds from Shab's international service budget to purchase a digital x-ray machine for the clinic; -- At next week's meeting, we will have the RYLA students, the PRYDE students, and Aaron Moffett from CSUSB will also be speaking; -- Shab will be doing a solar cooker demo at PRYDE on May 14 and needs volunteers; -- Linda has Luminaria bags for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life; -- And George won the opportunity drawing.
