Boys and girls aged 5 to 12 were out for a fun bike rodeo at the Powell River Rec Complex on May 13th to test there bike riding skills and learn safety and traffic rules. Rotary donated two bikes that were won by random draw and the winners got to go down to Taw's Cycle & Sport to be sized up for their brand new bikes. Thanks to John Hall for organizing this great event for the kids of Powell River.

The World Health Organization has officially removed India from the list of polio-endemic countries. Ghulam Nabi Azad, India's minister of Health and Family Welfare, made the announcement at the Polio Summit 2012 in New Delhi on 25 February.
