 Sunshine Coast Gran Fondo Project

The Rotary Club of Sechelt and Off the Edge Adventure Sports are exploring the idea of developing a Gran Fondo on the Coast.  The event would take place in September 2013. We need an expression of volunteer support to help staff the traffic management and support stations.

That's why we created a petition to Tom Pinfold, Rotary Club of Sechelt, President-elect, which says:

"Yes, I would be pleased to volunteer in support of  the Coast Gran Fondo in September 2013."

Sign petition here.

District Conference Site Information here.

On Dec. 6, 2011,  Chatelech Interact partnered with Sechelt Rotary to produce a pancake breakfast for the Kids Christmas Crafts event sponsored by the Sechelt Downtown Business Association.

Recently we lost Rotarian Cam Turner to his battle with cancer. You can see some of Cam's Rotary activities in the following slideshow.

Tom and Marg attended the District 5040 Public Relations seminar on October 30. They learned a lot about PR at the Club, District and International levels. See the photos here..

End Polio Now is a major Rotary project.

Rotary is a worldwide movement of more than 1.24 million business, professional, and community leaders who have volunteered their time, money, resources, experience and expertise to help others in making the world a better place to live. Rotary supports great causes such as local community organizations and projects to world wide missions such as the eradication of Polio. To date Rotary has helped immunize over 2 Billion children and helped almost wipe Polio out of existence. Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" is taken very seriously among our members. We meet weekly and develop programs locally, nationally and internationally while having great fun and fellowship.
