Youth Protection Policy

The Rotary Club of Poipu Beach welcomes all to our meetings, Kaua`i residents and island visitors alike. Our meetings are a favorite make-up venue for Rotarians from around the World. We would love to have you join us, Rotarian or not, and have a wonderful breakfast, fellowship and interesting speakers. If you are not yet a Rotarian, and would like to see what we are all about, this is a great way to learn.

Trash Along Kuhio Highway Met Its Match

On March 24, 2012, 7 volunteers participated in the Adopt A Highway program from Lawai to Brydeswood. They picked up 24 bags of garbage and made the highway look beautiful!. Mahalo to Community Service Chair Sal Bosco for organizing the event and for all who helped out: Sal Bosco, Becky Fries and her friend, Mary Ann Newman, from Newport, Minnesota, Tom Gross, Jan Pascua, Kolea member Terry McMahon, and Marcie Millett.

Juanjo Jimenez from Chile scored the only and ultimately winning goal in the first match of the season against Waimea. He was on the front page of the Garden Island newspaper. For more see this article in the Garden island! André Appel from Denmark played defense and was also mentioned in the article.

Rotary Exchange Begins

	Inbounds Juanjo (Chile) & André (Denmark) have arrived and making friends fast. With soccer as their immediate bond our two exchange students already has a group of local friends from around the island. They have tried their hand at sailing with Rotarian Marcie Millet's daughter Ayla and husband Kevin.
	Dawn Mones, this year's outbound to Japan, has reported that things are wonderful down on the farm, rice farm that is.
