Engage Rotary, save lives
We face challenges within our club and as well as external pressures from those we serve whether in operation, function or resource. I have laid out several objectives in attempt to face these challenges in a positive manner and ensure the many benefits our community receives from this Rotary Club continue well into the future.
We need to ensure a continued succession of leadership within the club. My main objective is to lay out a strong succession plan at the board and committee levels. In November we will be conducting an annual business meeting of the club. I will be asking for nominations for open board seats in October including a president elect nominee. There are also a few bylaw changes I will ask the club to consider in order to ensure that we can continue operating seamlessly from year to year.
We have very strong committees leading the charge on some of our programs and no active committees on some of the other programs we have engaged in the past. It is my goal to ensure that we have adequate participation in all program areas that the club wishes to continue or new ventures we may move into. It is imperative that we have a structure to retain and pass on the institutional knowledge and desire necessary to continue the great work we do.
As with any organization, adequate communication and participation are keys to success.
It is my hope that we can put differences aside and work together toward the best possible outcomes for the club and the benefit of our community.
