The earliest Thanksgivings may have been in the spring and may not have even been in New England. And if you care to do some digging, just what the celebrants were thankful for was probably a lot different than what we think of today. Be that as it may, at our last meeting (Nov 20) we had an interactive program with our members noting the things for which they were thankful and then giving to the Good News Basket. This was a celebration truly in the spirit of Rotary and the 4 Way Test. On Nov. 27, this week's Thursday, our club will not meet at the Hilton, but as we Rotarians spend the day with friends and family we will take the opportunity to spread the spirit of Rotary where we are. Happy Thanksgiving to us all!

Shall we be subjecting ourselves to the charge of unpractical optimism if we venture to hope that The Rotarian will some day be of interest to the public in general?
