| | Posted by Terri Harrison on May 05, 2012 What a great year for Cinco de Mayo. Saturday makes a difference. All accounting is not complete, but it looks like we should raise $7000.00 this year. Our winner of the Grand Prize Travel Voucher is Brodie Richard from Calgary. She is thrilled.

Building Basic Education in Guatemala Report from Doug Jones, January 2012 | | Posted by Jim Price | | Posted by Jim Price Rotary and its partners have been working over the past two decades eradicating polio from 99% of the world. We are now on the brink of achieving this goal, but a strong push is needed to get rid of the other 1% once and for all. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions. Your contribution will help Rotary raise $200 million to match $355 million in challenge grants received from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardships faced by their families. As long as polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. The stakes are that high. Please contact The Rotary Club of Canmore at (janrickmatthews@gmail.com) to make your pledge. | | Posted by Terri Harrison on Aug 31, 2011 |
