| Apr 17, 2013 "The club fellowship and meal were very good and the guest speaker was Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar Rachel Yordy. She supported our RI President Tanaka's belief on how "Peace through service brings out the best in us". Rachel spoke about her work project experience in remote places such as Ethiopia and Afghanistan and although you knew she was working within poor and oppressive situations, there was no bitterness or anger expressed. Instead, she related how she learned from the people she met living in these circumstances and you could sense the passion she has for peace & conflict issues. It is exciting to think that there may be a Canadian Rotary Peace Centre established soon at the University of Waterloo." Lana Burchett, RC of M.
