Several announcements and updates~

Next Tuesday (21st), scholarships will be presented to nine students from Piqua High School, Lehman, and Upper Valley Career Center.  Please plan to attend and share in the celebration!

The Board voted to contribute $100 to D.A.R.E, $250 to the Destination Imagination team from Washington Intermediate School who will be attending the Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in May, and $1,000 toward a lighted flagpole (with Rotary plaque) in Pitsenbarger Park.  The flagpole dollars are being set aside until that phase of the park enhancement is ready for completion.

We would like to hold the June 18th meeting at Hollow Park and have a picnic social in lieu of our regular meeting.  Details are still being planned so more information will be forthcoming.

The fundraising committee held a productive meeting late last month.  Ideas were generated that would produce a better return on investment and require fewer volunteers over a shorter period of time.  Stacy Wall is chairing this initiative.  Currently the Corn Booth and Fish Dinner are our two primary fundraisers.

Invoices for the 2013-2014 dues will be sent out shortly.  Please remember to pay promptly.  The Club is required to pay membership dues to RI July 1st and we also have expenses for the corn booth at that time.  We rely on the dues to maintain our responsibilities so everyone's assistance is most definitely needed.
